Rivendell Labradors is not really a breeding kennel, nor is it an ambitious project – just a blazing passion… which we are happy to share with all who may venture here by chance or by design.
We have provided guide dogs, rescue dogs, drug detectors and treasured companions. A fascinating trip and a humbling experience. What strides veterinary medicine has made in the past twenty years! Yet, even Science still has to beg a smile from that terrible trio: Mendel, Murphy and Mother Nature! A small number of dogs live in our home, an occasional litter is whelped and pups are rarely for sale. We show, we work, we play and we readily travel thousands of miles to see good Labradors. A beautifully made body moving out, the intent expression of a hunter sitting in line or the sheer ease of a smooth water retrieve governed by a true otter tail – does it get much better than that?
